Speed

I've only had it a few days but so far this printer is fantastic. It was very easy to set up. It recognized, and was recognized by, my home network (both wired and wi-fi.) Since its in my home-office I just gave it a wired connection, but you can wi-fi it. We're a Mac house and all my devices, 2 desktops, laptop, iPad, 2 iPhones all printed to it with ease via Bon Jour and AirPrint.

The print quality is very good in both B&W and color (surprisingly good for color). I am a graphic designer and I'll have no problem using this for quick comps for a client. It doesn't take forever to warm up, I think the specs said 17-19 seconds but it seems shorter than that.

I'll try and update this as time passes, but I'd say grab this printer.

So far I am happy with the quality of the print. It seems crisp, clear and colors are great. The printer itself is pretty simple; not really too much in the area of features. One that I particularly was interested in was the duplex (albeit manual) option. I have used printers in the past with a manual option and found it satisfactory. I would send it to print and it would print one side, tell me how to move and orient the paper for the second pass, then print the other. With this printer it performs this process well in Windows, but there is no such option for my Mac. So far the only solution is for me to send it to print once selecting only odd pages, then send it to print again selecting only even pages, after reloading the paper. Although this is a solution it is not nearly as user friendly. It is more steps and requires different selections each time, and requires I check to see in a preview if I have more than 1 page or not. Since the Windows driver works this way it would be nice if the Mac driver was more or less the same.

missed the fine print

Auto duplex is an every day function for this company. This machine does not perform auto duplex. What a pain to manually run two sided doc's. I would not have purchased this machine had I seen the function was not on board. Other that that I was easy to set up and install on our wireless network.

This is one slick all-in-one device. Very easy to set and brain-dead simple to operate. HP did a first rate job with this printer. The only issue is the paper tray only holds 150 sheets and there is no option for an expanded tray. If you print a lot of pages, this will be annoying. For me, this is primarily a fax replacement device and a scanner, so the paper capacity isn't a big deal but just something to be aware of.

Printer set up a little hard for a router network printer it took 4 installs before it worked. have to program printer to the router and password then it works Great . You can print from anywhere to your home printer. plus the toner will not dry up like ink you can save money if you do not print a lot. Color photos look great but not as glossy as ink. overall very satisfied with this printer.
