This pen writes smooth first time and never clogs so no matter how long it lays idle it will write on the first stroke. I wish it could be refilled.

AND I NOW ONLY BUY THESE BECAUSE THEY COME IN DIFFERENT COLORS, GIVE THE LOOK AND FEEL OF A MORE EXPENSIVE PEN, AND WHEN IT STOPS WRITING --IT'S NOT BECAUSE IT SKIPPED... IT'S BECAUSE IT HAS RUN OUT OF INK. I EVEN USE THEM AS GIFTS FOR TEENAGERS--- THEY SEEM TO REALLY BE INTRIGUED WITH THE WHOLE FOUNTAIN PEN CONCEPT.
