To be considered a recycled file folder, products must be manufactured with at least a portion of pre- or post-consumer fiber. Recycled folders are available in paper, plastic, and pressboard.

Organize the Office
In 1898 Edwin Seibels invented the filing cabinet, and office organization has never been the same. Instead of stuffing documents into pigeonholes, office workers utilized manila file folders stored within a dedicated filing space. The basic concept of Seibels' cabinet remains intact today, albeit with many different filing systems. In the hanging file system, file folders are placed inside larger hanging files within cabinets, drawers, or boxes.
