Sturdy item
The previous paper cutter recently took flight from the office and I found myself trying to painstakingly cut in a straight line in response to a last-time project's looming deadline. Lousy cutting! Going to return it
Unless you push in at each stroke, the cutting blade just tears your paper! NOT acceptable. Am going to return it to the store. (Thanks, Staples, for having stores I CAN return it to!)

Disappointed and returning
Blade is sharp and unit is relatively sturdy, but ruler markings are all off and the easier to see solid markings are metric, smaller dotted lines US measurements. Also, the guide doesn’t move well in the groove, too tight to slide easily. If you need precise measurements, this is not the product for you. Returning.

Flimsy Plastic
This paper cutter is made entirely of plastic save for the blade and board. It flexes so much it does not cut a straight line and can barely handle more than a few sheets at a time. I have no idea how X-Acto gets away with calling this "Heavy-duty" in their product description. If you need to cut 5 sheets of paper tops and don't care about square cuts maybe this will me...

Can’t cut fingers yay
Only thing I didn’t like about this item was the black adjuster isn’t the best and it’s not easily to slide it. Beside that it’s a great product.

Paper Guide is Short and Ineffective
I'm unhappy with the paper cutter I ordered because the guide is very short and doesn't lock in place. I taped it to keep it from sliding. I was cutting oversized pieces of paper which were about the length of the cutter but even after taping the guide, I had to hold the paper in place with my hands to get a straight cut.
