It's the perfect size for carrying hanging file folders to my meetings. It has the flexibility to work with Letter and Legal sizes which is important because some files come in the different sizes from one meeting to another.

HORRIBLE
THE SNAPS ON THE BACK OF TOP BROKE THE FIRST TIME I PUT THE HANGING FILES IN IT

Waste of time and money
If I could give it a zero I would. Got the box home and put in 10 empty hanging files, closed it and lifted it to move it and the back part of the lid came apart from it's clasp and could not be fixed.

The boxes are wider then expected plus I cannot close lid properly with folders inside??

Purchased 2 of these and the latch has cracked off both of them already

Stores letter/legal portable file box.
This is a sturdy and roomy file box. My previous one was made of cardboard and prone to collapse, spilling it’s contents.

Really nice
This thing has some details (storage compartments in the lid for paper clips and whatnot) that I don't need but it was as big on the inside as the official measurements. (The last box I bought was *not* and nothing I wanted to store fit. I appreciate Staples staff for answering this question before I bought this box.)
