The red colour is distinct and prominent when seen on paper. The pen does give a smooth glide as you write. However, even though I will purchase this product again, I discovered that the ink usage is not as long lasting as previously.

The 1.6 BIC Cristal Ballpoint blk ink pens really glide across the page, I strongly advise others to buy them. They should also have them in stores other than on line; for convenience too. I can't get enough.
