Poor design, not worth the money
When the drawer opens, it opens with such force that the coins fly out. The slots are also very difficult to grab the money from. It doesn't open as far as it seems it should. Finally, there are only three slots for four different bills; in a real register, there are four slots.

Calculator doesn't work even after changing the batteries
I bought this for my boys as they started learning about money, but unfortunately, the calculator stopped working. Even after replacing the batteries, the numbers still don't display properly.

Drawer opens too forcefully and coins fly out
The drawer flies open with such force that the coins go flying everywhere. For this reason, it's difficult to use and I don't like my kids using it, because I have to constantly clean up the coins.

Drawer will not come out, can't get bottom off to look
Daughter got this as a gift on Christmas and two plays later, the drawer won't open. We tried removing the screws to pull out the drawer and check it but it doesn't come apart. So basically she got to play with her gift two times before it broke :(

Very impressive!
We haven't given it to our grandson yet, but we think it looks great, and are confident he will love it!
It was shipped promptly and arrived in pristine condition.

Disappointment
This was a gift. Played with it immediately. Opened drawer probably 20 times. Now drawer will not open!
Not much fun if you can't open the cash drawer. Any suggestions on how to fix problem?
I did purchase this on Amazon.

Received as a gift, but I would not buy it.
Bottom two rows on the calculator do not work. My grandson was very disappointed when he unwrapped it and wanted to play with it Christmas morning.

Coins fly out of drawer
The drawer opens with too much force, and the coins fly out every time. It distracts from the educational potential of the product.

Solar doesn't work therefore calculator doesn't work
Gave this as a gift. Calculator worked for one week, then despite putting in good light, failed to work again.
Unfortunately the recipient didn't tell me until a year had passed. The "Open All Hours" TV series had a register like this one - truculent.

Amazing toy!
Our youngest four children played with this toy so much. They are now teens and young adults so the toy is being sold to another set of children for it's second life. Sadly the paper money, credit card and pad of paper have disappeared.

One complaint
Like I said, it's a great toy & my grandson loves it but you just can't ignore the change flying out everytime you push the open button.

Doesn't Hold Up Over Time
This is a great toy in theory. It does not hold up to the test of time. I work at a center with abused children and the cash register is in our play therapy room. The calculator stopped working which frustrated the children so it had to be removed. We have a limited budget as a nonprofit and have not been able to replace it. I would have expected a more durable toy for ...

Not much fun
I purchased this for our granddaughter because she enjoyed playing with one at the Children's Museum. However, this makes no noise when the drawer is opened, the calculator is difficult to read and makes no sound when buttons are pushed. about the only interactive this about this is the the drawer opens and closes. I would no purchase this again.

Pleased Parent!
There's a reason this cash register is so popular- it rules! I love the calculator feature, and I find it quite realistic for a young children's toy. My son really enjoys it and it makes learning run. It goes along great with the play restaurant set that my son also has. Great product!

My twin girls love their cash register. They are very realistic and don't need batteries which is great! The learning resources customer service is also so amazing that I would continue to buy products from this company.

Longevity issues
Working at a museum for kids we have bought about 10 or so of these registers. There are two problems that should be fixed for future registers.
There is a plastic piece that keeps the open button tied to the spring. All of the registers we have used over the years eventually break because of this being plastic and therefore flimsy. reinforce the piece and it will be ...
