. We love apple pies and apple crisp and this apple peeler works great. The apple doesn't need to be perfectly round and it takes the skin off in seconds. Clean up is easy. There are so many companies out there selling gimmicks, everything I have bought by Starfrit, the price is fair and it is a quality product that works!

Not good
the peeler was on backwards and the blade never connected with apple. . . so I took it apart to turn the blade and now I can't get it back together.

Saves so much time!
Love this peeler! It makes short work of a long task. Peels right high and low on the apple too so you don't have to take a knife to the missed parts. The blade is flexible and can peel most sizes of apples without missing a beat. Seems durable so far after using it for three seasons of peeling many many pounds of apples.

Easy to use canning and baking enjoyable

Starfrot Apple Peeler
Peeler works as described. Irregular shape apples require some hand peeling. Certainly faster than hand if you have a lot of peeling to do.

Solid workhorse
I process a lot of apples for raw eating, dehydrating, canning, baking, apple sauce … Over the tears I’ve had several peeler corers. This one keeps up with the best of them, stays sharp, and is very reasonably priced.

Peelings a breeze
I've never made so many apple pies. Its as easy as that! I peel 12 apples in about 7 min i love it!

Best apple peeler EVER!
Smoothly removes very thin peeling with its “razor blade” leaving more apple than other apple peelers that gouge the apple peeling off.

Great Gadget!
I had one of these for years but it fell off of a shelf and broke so I bought a new one. It's made very well and it's super easy to use. It peels apples in seconds. The auctions are strong. I believe that this is the best brand.

The peeler works very nicely however the first time I used it I noticed the prongs that hold the apple were bent. It is a bit disappointing as the last Starfrit apple peeler lasted me for years without this issue.

Gears not strong enough
Once the blade gets to the center of the apple the gears aren’t strong enough to turn. I have to turn the apple by hand. Better than hand peeling but not what I was expecting.

Great features
This apple peeler is really awesome it has suction cups on the bottom so it doesn't move when you are peeling your apples.

This thing works!
My hands are getting arthritic so doing my apples this year was painful. After reading a ton of reviews on peelers, this one rated the top. It works like magic. I can peel a large bowl of apples in less than 5 minutes. Amazing. If it was made entirely of stainless steel, I would give it 5 stars. I would pay 5 times the amount I paid if it had no plastic parts. I hope it...
