50L was too big but 38L is just right!
Ok, I didn’t pay enough attention when I ordered the 50L can; as a result, I was so surprised at how large it was! Not a problem! simplehuman was happy for me to return it and I ordered the 38L after reviewing the dimensions. Not what it looked like on the website
It looked that it had pretty decent space for recycling but when i got it i can't fit anything after one empty milk bottle.

Great product, tiny improvements would make it outstanding!
The dual compartments are super cool, but I wish they were more equal in size instead of such a small trash side. Also, it would be really helpful if there were an embossed "Recycle" symbol on the lid to identify the recycling bin side -- people are confused and keep putting trash in the recycling.... a simple recycle symbol sticker would even help, but it doesn't come ...

Correctly Sized
SH did a good job of sizing the recycle and trash proportions to compartments. Recyclables volume always seem to be greater than the non-compostable trash, this product accommodates the difference.

Perfect Dual Compartment Step Can
This step can fits perfectly in my small kitchen without obstructing the pathways in and out of my kitchen. It has two compartments for trash and recycling. I love the product.

Moves very easily
My husband and I had a larger trash can by Simplehuman trash can, but were only filling it about one third to one half way. I had been eyeing this dual can for some time as in Seattle there is way more recyclables than trash. LOVE that it incorporates both. Dual Trash bin
I absolutely love this item. Sleek, clean design and effortless to open. I chose not to put a bag on the recyclables side since those bags are not allowed in pickup bins. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.

I like this garage/recycling combo however I wish the bins were the same size. The trash side is way too skinny.

Great for recycling in Costa Rica
Great for recycling.
You need a can and bottle crusher to go with it. The compartments can be a little small. The larger we use for glass and the smaller we use plastic and aluminum cans. That’s where the crusher comes in.
