Inconsistent fit/never lasts as long as advertised
I live solo, so I am the only person using this pitcher. I track my water usage and it's pretty consistent day to day. I have had filters last a little over a week to about 25 days before the water starts tasting fishy or dirty and becomes undrinkable.
What's extra frustrating is that my TDS meter never reads above 000, yet the filters still go bad well before the li...

Zero total dissolved solids by measure
I have been using Culligan zero water for about 18 months. The water here locally has 120 to 135 total dissolve solids and zero consistently after filtration. Today it was five and gratefully new filters came. Thank you!

Filter problem
Iva head one for about two years and I love the water, won’t use any other brand. But the only complaint I have is after a couple of fills the filter will just stop filtering and I have to bang it in the counter so the air bubbles come out or dump it out and replace the water, I don’t know how,why or what makes it happen. Just very annoying when it won’t let me fully re...

Defective Filters
I used to love my “Zero Water” pitcher/ filter system. However, I’ve been having problems for over a year with the filter only lasting only a month! It goes from (0 to 5-6 TDS) then continues to rise. Additionally, the water will often times not drain through the filter. I’ve contacted the company at least 3 times before & after Zero became Culligan. I was sent new filt...

Very short life
It filtered well for about one month, perhaps 20 uses. I was really disappointed. It says it’s 35% longer life but longer than what? Does not seem cost effective if I need to purchase every month.

ZeroWater Filter – Starts Great, Ends Fishy
I’ve now gone through three separate ZeroWater filters, and each time, the pattern has been the same: fresh, clean-tasting water at first, followed by a noticeably fishy or metallic taste after just a couple of weeks of normal use. This isn't a subtle issue – the off-putting flavor makes the water undrinkable.

Response from Staples :
Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. As the quality of tap water and consumption rates differ greatly for everyone, we use gallons to estimate filter life instead of weeks or months. The higher the TDS reading the shorter the filter life and vice versa.
A change in the taste of the water is indicative of a filter that has been used beyond the point of exhaustion. The ions that are trapped inside the filter will start to leach out due to over saturation of the ion exchange resins, and due to the high TDS concentration, the taste of the water will change. Keep in mind that everything that the filter is filtering is still inside the filter and eventually will start leaching out when the filter goes beyond the capacity. Think about the filter as if it was a garbage container, once it is full, the garbage will start falling out if you keep putting more on top.
In order to avoid a change in the taste of the water, it is important to test your filtered water regularly and to change the filter when the TDS meter reads 006 on filtered water.

Now new filters. That was and isn’t needed.
Zero has always been good to our family, creating affordable filtration that works supremely well, producing great tasting water at affordable prices. But since the Culligan takeover, they’re not Zero anymore. Case in point we have the large glass countertop model that has worked perfectly for years. Now Culligan has changed the filters. Now you can still buy the old...

Major Filter Design Flaw
Of the 10 filters I've used with the 32 cup dispenser, only 2 have worked properly. Most will work for a week or two, and then stop filtering - or will filter only when the bottom of the filter is above the water line in the dispenser. So frustrating. I just purchased 4 more filters, and the first one won't filter at all. So frustrating. I want a refund so I can bu...

Filter quality dramatically dropped recently
I've noticed these filters don't last as long as they used to before the water starts tasting off and the TDS numbers skyrocket. This started a couple months ago and I find it hard to believe the tap water quality has gotten so bad the filters last 1-2 weeks when they used to last 4-6 weeks. The amount of time the filters last has decreased dramatically in the past 6 mo...

Air bubbles
These work very well most of the time. Lately I’ve been having difficulty with all of the water filtering down. It seems like air gets trapped in the filter. I have to tilt the pitcher until I get the air bubbles out before all the water can filter.

Response from Staples :
Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. From time to time the filter can develop an air lock, some little air pockets or air bubbles that get trapped down inside the filter. Typically this is an easy and quick fix, simply remove the filter from the container and unscrew it from the tray. Then hold the filter sideways/horizontal and grip the filter very tightly and shake the filter with some good force side to side and back and forth 8 to 10 times. This will loosen the filter media and break the air lock.

The new filters leak in my pitcher.
The new filters are useless. They do not seal in my pitcher - only in my 5 gal unit. My old filter seals just fine in my pitcher, so it's not my unit. I knew when Culligan took this over the quality would drop.
