pain to activate
When received it says the card is already activated but when you try to use it it doesn't work. No activation instructions were provided. Had to track down the original paper the card came with contact customer service and they then activated it. The automated line doesn't work either as they never sent an activation code.

CVS Pharmacy Gift Card
The card came in the mail with a notice and FAQ saying that the card was already activated. When I tried to use it it rejected because the store cashier said that it was not activated. This was annoying. I had to subsequently call and have the card activated which involved proving that I was the purchaser. So keep your receipts.

CVS gift card
My order of a gift card came ahead of schedule by more than a week . Order came with a paper stating gift card is active. Went to CVS yesterday to use and CVS said card not activated. Called number on back of card this morning and recording tells me card is not active. Called Staples who connected me with the correct department and they were able to activate card. I cal...
