Good single line wired phone
This ATT CL2940 phone has many good features. Among them are large buttons, large LCD display, speaker phone directory and call memory. Sound quality good. So good I bought one for my cousin and she liked it so I bought one for myself.

Works ONLY ON BATTERIES! No AC power cord provided
I wasted my time buying this and now have to return it BECAUSE SOMEONE AT STAPLES DIDN'T DO THEIR JOB PROPERLY!
WHY IS THE FACT THAT THIS PHONE ONLY WORKS ON BATTERIES AND ***DOES NOT*** COME WITH A AC POWER CORD MENTIONED ANYWHERE ON ITS PRODUCT PAGE???

Needs a Hold button
I like my new landline phone very much. The sound is great which can also be adjusted and it has nice features, such as a delete button, date/time, etc. I would give a "5" rating, however, the phone needs a hold button as well.

I would recommend this phone. Easy to install and works well. Adjustable sound is a nice feature. I am glad I was able to still get a corded phone in this day and age of cell phones!! Thank you.

MY OLD CORDED AT&T PHONE JUST QUITE HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS ONE IS SIMILAR I CAN CALL I HAVE DIAL TONE BUT WILL NOT RING I AM NOT SMART

Perfect desktop phone
Excellent choice for landline, desk phone. Features are very good for POTS. Large screen, large numbers, speakerphone, speed dial, directory, etc. Would have been nice if ringer volume were variable vs. low-med-high, as well as choice of ringer sounds. Overall, terrific choice.

Good, but it wobbles...
The voice quality and dialing are good, but I am afraid the phone is "crocked" when the underneath attachment is added. It literally wobbles when I press the dial buttons. I don't understand why the land line phones from AT&T I have purchased over the past few years have been so mediocre. They used to be amazing.

Almost everything I expected
I was hoping I'd be able to add spam calls to a list of blocked numbers but no such luck. Otherwise it works just fine.

Just what I needed
I still use landlines because I prefer them. I needed to replace a phone and needed one without any bells or whistles. This phone fit my need and I am very happy with it. I would recommend this product.
