Great printer.
Works great. Truly plug and play. I use it mostly for marking boxes in my shop with contents. Large print makes it quick to identify contents. 4 lines on the smaller stickers is still easy to read. I use the smaller ones to mark specs on boxes/bags of finished products. There's a built in file to save regularly repeated labels.

Horrible software
I could not get my printer software to consistently open when turning on the printer. I downloaded the software at least 5 times to try to get it to open properly and it still never would. Tried contacting Brother customer support and am currently still on hold, for over a half hour now, and could not get to any online chat session or email to them. Horrible customer su...

Perfect for a small business
I love my new brother printer! I have a small candy business and I used to have to use Avery labels to print to label all my products which was time-consuming and way more expensive. This is quick and easy and I love it.

Does it's job.
It took me awhile to find the label with the zipcode bar on it. It should have been the first template instead of the last 2 The printer works well.

One thing I miss being able to do.
I can not move Contact files onto Brother setup. Other wise I love the printer

Label printer
After installing the software, I printed some labels. The next day the printer was offline and I have not been able to get it back online. I submitted a request to Brother for help but have no received a call or email. Not impress with product or support.

Unable to down load drivers and get it to work.
I bought the QL-800 Label maker 3 weeks ago but have not used it because i have not been able to download the drivers. I have a call (text) into the support team but because of the holiday they won't be able to get back with me for another 3-4 days. I'm on hold.

Set up
Set up takes a little while to figure out the best way to print. Setting margins and whatnot was a little out of my league so I had my daughter help. Once she got it going, it was perfect!

So far so good
Good label printer. The label cutting feature is great. Price is good compared to the the competitor brands. Easy to setup on both Windows and Mac OS. If you’re using a postage system, like Pitneybows, this is the printer that you need.

Replaces DYMO
Purchased a QL 800 to Replace a Dymo 550 Turbo (What a joke) with was replacing a Dymo 400. So far this Brother is what I was expecting from Dymo. Something that works without a fight. Or dealing with Customer service that won't replace until they receive the offending unit, even after picture and S/N sent to them.

works great. Only problem is that you have to buy the whole assembly to change roles instead of just being able to replace a label roll on the spool. Very wasteful and poor design compared to your competitors.

A second one for the office
Because I have been using the QL-800 at my home office for at least 2 years without any issues, it was and easy decision to choose this model again for my main office. Easy to set up and easy to operate.
