The DYMO LabelWriter Durable label with item number 2187918 is 1" x 2-1/8" (25mm x 54mm) in size and is designed for laboratory use. These labels are durable and provide long-lasting performance. They are tear and solvent-resistant, adhere well to textured surfaces, and can withstand temperatures ranging from 0°F to 120°F (-18°C to 50°C). Hello. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with label detection. We would like to inform you, labels you attached are compatible with both 450 and 550 units. But if the labels are manufactured before April 2020, will not compatible with 550 unit. Please make sure these are chipped labels, if not we are happy to replace them for free of charge. We sincerely apologize our products have not met your expectations. Please ensure that the labels are inserted correctly, with the perforations in between the labels on the left and the paper part facing down. You may have an older generation of the labels that do not yet have the chip the LabelWriter 550 looks for in order to recognize the rolls. In this case, we have a Label Exchange Program wherein we can exchange up to 3 rolls should you still have unchipped ones. We would be very happy to assist you in resolving any issues with our products.
