Odor
A hard rubber counterweight mounted to the inside back panel smells like a tire store. This product carries the Eco-ID mark so perhaps this is recycled rubber but as I understand it recycled rubber often contains car tires. Counterweight is also smeared with who knows what? Not the HON quality I was expecting
I have purchased HON file cabinets in the past and loved them. This one seems to be a lower grade cabinet though. After pulling it out of the box a metal piece at the back of the bottom drawer was bent so the drawer could not close all the way. The Hon laterial file cabinet.

Great Purchase!
I am the secretary/treasurer for our Union and we were badly in need of a new file cabinet. I wanted something secure and sturdy so it can last several years but also affordable. I am pleased to say we found all these qualities in this file cabinet! We will definitely get many years of great service from this cabinet!!

Well built.
Like this cabinet a lot but would have appreciated knowing that it can only fit two straight-in rows of hanging files. I’d have gotten the larger HON size.

Nice office addition
Great finish. Easy to open drawers with safety feature allowing only one drawer opening at a time to prevent the cabinet from tipping over. Interior design is uncluttered and totally functional for many different width hanging folders. The top is well suited as a work surface.

Very pleased
Knew HON was going to be worth the money and it didn't let me down. Very satisfied. They work just like a filing cabinet should.
