Just bought this Keurig K-45 a couple of months ago and am very happy with it. My question is about the use of these water filters. We live in the country and have a well. My husband is a plumber and when we built this house, he put in a whole house filter. Do I still need to use these filters? Any answers?

not good not good
we almost took the new system back. but then we tried one more thing first. We removed the free filter. I love this coffee maker and did not want to get rid of it. Thank goodness removing the filter took care of the bad smell and taste. SO GROSS.

Bad shipping
Not good, someone opened my package and stole two ! The box was massed inside. Shipping not good.

More for your money
The filters are great. It makes a difference in the taste of your tea or coffee. I originally was getting the pack with2 filters but the six pack saved me money and I won’t have to get them as often.

Filter holder
It is a pain to install the filter holder every day. How often should we change the filter? Our older Keurig did not use filters. Are they necessary?

Won't make coffee without these
These definitely work! The tap water in my area can sometimes have a weird taste but these filters manage to filter the water so my coffee tastes perfect every time.

Filter sizing issue
Although, the filter design was the same as my previous filter, the size was larger and I had to jam it into place. In so doing, I broke one of the plastic supports. It still works well and I hope it stays in place
