Just bought this Keurig K-45 a couple of months ago and am very happy with it. My question is about the use of these water filters. We live in the country and have a well. My husband is a plumber and when we built this house, he put in a whole house filter. Do I still need to use these filters? Any answers?

not good not good
we almost took the new system back. but then we tried one more thing first. We removed the free filter. I love this coffee maker and did not want to get rid of it. Thank goodness removing the filter took care of the bad smell and taste. SO GROSS.

Filter sizing issue
Although, the filter design was the same as my previous filter, the size was larger and I had to jam it into place. In so doing, I broke one of the plastic supports. It still works well and I hope it stays in place

Cheap Company !!
You need to include at least one filter & plastic holder w/ purchase of new brewer. Still don’t have filter holder. CHEAP !!

A fresh filter is necessary …
I have a new coffee maker and the filters were recommended so yes, I will change my water filter every 6 months for a fresh cup of coffee!!!
