Old software no longer works
While the printer has held up software that ties it to devices has not been updated. It no longer prints from android because the CA certificate self signed for the device is not acceptable to Android devices when installed . Even manually installed. The encryption of the self signed cert is too old.

Quality of Tech Support
This is the second tech agent that couldn't help me with the OCR software that is included with my Canon Printer. I felt like the two issues I had were not taking seriously. I'm very disappointed with Tech Support.

Quit after 15 months
I use this for business mainly as a scanner and fax. It doesn't print a lot and I've only had to replace ink once in 15 months. And now...it won't print - at all. Error code points to a hardware problem. Never again.

Maxify MB5420
Our old maxify printer was starting to wear out and we began looking for a new printer. We didn't see anything we really liked. No Parts can be purchased for this printer! DO NOT BUY!!!
I own a MB5420, it's just over one year old. The logic board just went in the printer and CANON just told me that they don't sell the parts for this printer even though they are still making and selling the printer!! I used to be a big CANON fan!! NO MORE!!!

Canon printer
This new printer is the best. It prints faster than my others. The color is sharp. The paper feed is smoother. I was upset when my last printer broke but I am delighted with the replacement

Horrible product
This is by far the most horrible product I have ever purchased for our business. The scan doesn't work consistently and integrating the software is a nightmare. We're going back to HP. We will never use or allow a Canon product anywhere near any of our offices.

Great compact 3-1 printer
Had always used Epson printers before but the last one I had was terrible and it was time for a change. This 3-1 printer is great. The print quality is so much better than my Epson and was easy to set up. It's a little loud but that doesn't bother me. It is not fancy but it does its job and I am happy with it thus far. Outstanding
After 7 years of service My maxify 5320 had to be replaced. The maxify 5420 is a fine machine. Very user friendly. Very satisfied with the 5420.

One Major Flaw
Overall, I'm happy with the printer. It does a nice job scanning documents and pictures and does a good job printing documents. It does have one major flaw, however, It does not have a setting for printing in draft mode. The only options are high and standard. I am a writer and prefer to print my drafts in draft mode to save ink. If I had known this did not have a draft...

Poor Product
Purchased product about a year ago and the unit has had to be replaced 3 times already in that time span for the same problem code 5040 which is a hardware failure code per phone support and can not be fixed by the end user and must be returned for a replacement unit.

Installation
Installation for this printer not user friendly at all when it comes to a Mac IOS etc. Link that Cannon provides for downloading installation does not go to the correct spot and the Cannon website is even less user friendly.
