Great replacement for an older Maxify
Bought this to replace a Maxify 5320 that gave me 9 great years. I had spare cartridges and that this printer used the same ones made it a no Brainer. New one set up easily and I'm very satisfied with it. The Staples experience was good and straightforward. Highly recommended.

Not quite what I’d expected
My previous MB5120 had two separately-addressable paper cassettes; this one has only one. When I try to print on both sides it prints the reverse side but wads up the front side. Most disappointing. Unless some correction appears I certainly wouldn’t recommend that another purchaser follow in my path.

Scanner Stopped
All is well except less than a year into having the printer the scan feature doesn't work unless you unplug it and plug it back in.

I've been using printers for 20 yrs. Newer are better / easier to use
Maxify MB 5120 is a great printer -- like so many other Canon printers I've had over the years.

Fast quiet quality printer but not easy to use
I bought this to replace an old HP that had some minor issues. This turns out to be a fast and high quality printer but with some downsides. Everyone you change paper you have to select or add paper the type of paper you are using, which slows you down and the menu for this is not easy. Envelope printing is really a pain and the tray only holds 10 and again you have to ...

Would not buy again
Good copier but anytime I print it says code 2111; check whether paper matches the print settings. It's stuck on GLOSSY photo paper. I correct settings all the time but still prints super slow on GLOSSY.

Not so great.
I have had this printer for almost 18 months and it has yet to impress me. It is slow to print it's first page. Quickly consumes ink cartridges and shakes the whole cabinet when printing. Certainly would not recommend to a friend and has not met my expectations of a Canon product.

Broke attempting to set up
Setting up printer and cartridge became jammed. Went online to get a return/repair/replacement but so sorry you only had eleven days to check for any defects. Printer was for owner of company who had been out of town.

Not the best cannon product for home use only
printer worked great untill code 5207 support said can't change ink unless tank is empty. also this is a hard drive error code, they can't help. i could have it repaired maybe but they have no one in this area that works on cannon. cannon is not the excellent brand name it use to be. quiality is poor. this is the second mb 5120 I've had in the last four years. not...

Great Quality, Great Price
This hardy color all-in-one device is great. It's designed for home use, fitting into a corner easily or on top of a desk (check dimensions!!). It's also easy to set this up. Like many folks working from home due to the pandemic, if you are supported by your company's IT, they can do most of the set up remotely, and I only had to remove it from the packaging and plug it...

Good but not simple enough.
Faxing is complicated and takes a long time to transmit copying and printing is fast on/off is fast ready to go very fast setup is too time consuming (compared to other 4-in-one printers.) Really dislike having to constantly select and reselect paper types and beeping between every printing job. Other features are not simplified enough. Just started using Canon s...

Never an issue with this printer.
I've owned this printer since August 2019 and never had an issue with it to this day (17 June 2021). Yes this has an ethernet connection in the back of printer (asked by shopper) and wireless connection/LAN is always connected without problem. Quality prints and great scanning resolution! Has a "touch-screen" feature and ink lasts a long time. Ink cartridges are simple...

Not a huge Canon fan but this is the best printer I've ever used
What can I say this printer does it all and continues to amaze me. You can scan a doc and decide whether to send the pdf to your documents folder or open an email with the newly scanned document as an attachment. I Cust the spirals of a notebook with a glossy hard cover and put them into the autofeed tray to scan. The printer scanned both sides of the nearly 80 page boo...

WORST PRINTER EVER
This is not your usual Canon printer This printer is nothing but trouble. Every time you try to print you have to reset the WiFi. That said even requires resets. Uninstall and reinstall it may work three times that is it. If I did not have so much spare ink I would take a sledge hammer to it.

Great Scanner
Awesome, fast scanner with lots of options. Printer works fine for an inkjet. Fax on the other hand cuts off some of the left margin text, no clear setting to fix this.

Beats HP and Epson
Bought an Epson after a disaster with an HP. The Epson a model rated for office use died after just 3 yrs. of light home use. And the Epson had a mind of its own- often refusing to follow instructions. The Canon does everything right. And kudos to the thoughtful packaging engineers who made it so easy to unbox remove all packing materials and set it up. Photo pri...
