Thought it would be a nice pen but just disappointed in the way it feels and the ink doesn’t have that feel when you write.

Not the F-701 in black
If you're getting this pen thinking it is the F-701 in black think again. It is not like it at all. just an FYI befor you buy it

It writes dependably but its line is extremely skinny. I prefer the Fisher Space Pen which is apparently not available at Staples.

LOVED IT!
I had the pen for about 5 years, through 4 refills. Like the paint had worn pretty significantly. I work retail so it kept people from stealing it up until last week üòë I would definitely buy it again, but it is hard to find not online.

Disappointing construction
This started out as a great pen. However, after a week, the barrel surrounding the tip fell off in a pocket and disappeared, making it unusable.

X-701 leaks ink
I really like the grip of the pen, but the ink cartridge oozes ink whenever it is not in use! Sometimes while laying on my desk I will return to find a glob of ink. I can't imagine ever purchasing another Zebra pen.

Disappointed
I’ve been a huge fan of zebra fine point pens using them exclusively for years . I bought this one thinking it would use the same ink & instead it’s a proprietary gel ink that blots & run dry quickly.

Not so Tactical
I had high hopes for this pen especially since I work outside in the elements and my gear needs to be solid. The barrel size and texture make it difficult to grip in the best of conditions so I imagine that trying to write in foul weather would prove much the same. I think a few design tweaks would do wonders for the pen but for now I am going back to the Rite In The...

Great pen, writes on receipt paper
I like this pen a lot. Has a great feel, it fits in the hand well, has a loop for things like a lanyard, The pen writes very smooth, and will work on receipt paper, which is not easy to do for even my f701 and f301 pens. Disappointing quality
Long time zebra fan especially the 700 series. Rugged pens. The tactical version turns out to be plastic. Would not recommend for the price.

Nice Pen
My handwriting tends to messy. A good pen helps me to have better penmanship. It seems difficult to find a pen that is smooth and doesn't smear. So far it writes every time I use it. I have lots pens that I need to throw out.

It really writes on difficult surfaces

I would buy the pen again if I could find a decent refill.
Nice light metallic feel. The pressurized ink refills are not very impressive or nice to write with. Very thin, and not smooth. I don't need the extreme writing ability enough to warrant the mediocre writing experience.
