Do not buy refurbished items
I bought this brother dcp-l2550dw and it jams every other job it is not reliable at all the one i replaced was better. this is a good printer but they sold me a bad one. i do not recommend refurbished items. and it came with a little bit of toner. bad service.

Serves me well
Love this little multi-purpose unit, but one exception. Printed instructions are too small for anyone except Superman. Maybe if they weren't printed in every language in the universe they could be larger?

Not cleaned properly
After setup, went to make a copy and noticed the underside of the glass was dirty. Since it was inside the printer, I has no way of cleaning it, so had to return it.

Printer broker 1 month after warranty expired.
Printer failed 1 month after warranty period expired. Error message for paper jam but no paper in printer. Customer service from Brother was terrible.

So far so good
I bought this for very infrequent use, so an inkjet was out of the question. This refurbished unit looks completely brand new, and I saved a few dollars. I've only printed a couple of things on it, but so far so good. It replaces a 14-year-old Brother MFC CDW office printer which served well for a number of years but was overkill to maintain for my needs.
