Exactly what we needed!
My spouse has an old Surface Pro and was having trouble seeing what he needed to see on its small screen. He was given a larger monitor, but we needed a way to connect them easily. With a little help from my Staples guy we got the exact piece we were missing. Life is good

Won't work with Microsoft docking station
The bottom of this device is just a bit too long, so it interferes with my Microsoft docking station plug when the docking station is plugged into the power port.
Works fine otherwise, but I have my mouse and printed plugged into docking stations at home and my office, so I have to unplug the Surface to use this, and I need the Microsoft Dock to charge the Surface. ...

Evaluation of Port Replicator
Big problem is requires a USB cable to effectively connect to the device - cable not included. Have two extension on back of device to connect but will not work with laptop or PC as Connectors are next to each other.
