Canon has excellent printers
I hate to disagree with the person who wrote the other review but you don't give a product a 1 star simply because it doesn't have the features you want. If he wanted a printer that would print to a disk he should have shopped for one. If the printer doesn't perform well or has functionality problems is when you give it low ratings. Canon has the best printers.

Bad Designed
Disappointed due lack of CD/DVD printing, paper capacity limited and not capable to printing or scanning up to 11"x17".

No problem so far
Installed G7020 with no problems. Replacing a previous G6020 that was only 3years old. Shortest life of any printer I have owned. Wished I had read more reviews on the G7020 before I bought it. Seems like G7020 has as many problems as G6020. If G7020 gives me trouble as the G6020 did it will be last Canon printer I purchase.

Almost as perfect as Canon MX860 years ago that was 5-stars and more
UGH printer information display menu has NO LIGHT to READ anything on it
UGH no duplex copy/scan like my other Canons could
LOVE rear tray
LOVE big ink tanks
LOVE CANON everything, long lasting (exception MB 2120 only 2 years???) & esp. Plotter ipf700 (no longer supported???)
LOVE it eats most paper postcards, even heavy (ala like the other Canons past)
OK speeds
SIGH h...

This is my 3rd G7020 printer in less than 5 years. They are JUNK! Save your time, money and energy with this printer!

Great for Every Day, not Photos
Setup was ridiculous for this printer. I haven't even setup the scanner yet - and I didn't even use wireless! The ink is also thinner; I can tell the quality does not match my old MX922.

Long lasting ink
This printer is great on ink usage and it does almost everything well. The exception is that it’s terrible at printing pictures. I had an old Canon that lasted about 13 years and it printed pictures well but it also used expensive cartridges. I had high hopes for this one but I wanted to spend less on ink. Worst printer in the world
I recently bought this printer, and it has been painful few days. It is slugish, unresponsive, at times get stuck with message "please wait....". Only option when it is stuck like that is to power cycle this printer. In my latest attempt to use the printer ended up with taking 1+ hour to print 2 pages. Prints and scans nicely. The non-back lit display is difficult to read. (Poor choice by Canon in not using the standard back-lit easy to read display, what were they thinking.)

Completely unreliable
I call it "the ex-wife:" does what it wants, and spends all your money. It doesn't respond to any command - single sided you say? Forget it! Even if you have set it up on all the printer dialogs. Way Cost effective
I saw the average 3 star reviews and was shocked. I have had my Canon G7020 for years and I use the printer all the time. I print stanard black and white and the first bottle of black last 3-4 years, I can't even remember, I am just now ordering colored ink. I have saved tons of money. Can you duplicate photos well? Poor photo quality
I've had this printer for a few years now. It prints text just fine but photo quality is terrible, blacks look grey and are often blotchy with magenta. I have done everything i can think of to make it work but its simply just not good.

Don't look for a driver to download scanner functionality... it's not there. Google search advises you to uninstall the driver and keep trying reinstalling until it "appears". Or, per other users, you can install the Utility "IJ Scan" for scanner functionality. So much for plug and play.....
