Epson is corrupt
Liked this printer so much I brough this printer twice, the first one the scanner glass was scratched, so I replaced it.
However, the cost of ink was quickly costing more then a new printer, so went with a 3rd party option and it worked great, until Epson bricked the printer to force me to buy their over priced ink.

Other brands of ink cartridges, and ink supplies, are not compatible, and even if described as compatible, may not function properly or at all. it is a scam. not worth the purchased even on sale. 40 - 50 % off is not worth the sale.

Dont Do it
Drops off of WIFI constantly and several bugs. Printer rarely works correctly. Expensive and faulty.

Horrible printer
Changed ink cartridges and ran clean and align procedures. Works for first page, but then prints lines across page on anything printed after.
Only way to keep it from feeding multiple sheets of paper is to feed paper 1 sheet at a time.
Printer is basically unusable because of print quality and cant print multiple page documents.

WorkForce Printer(WorthLess)
The WorkForce only lasted about 15 months. After the time period, it refused to print clearly after replacing the ink. I had to call Epson Support several times because documents were printing with a magenta tone. They told me to recycle it and pick up another at Staples, but I could not find my receipt. Welcome to printing in 2001....
I bought this printer a month ago and was initially "ok" with it. I wanted a cheap printer that I could have at home that wouldn't cost an arm and leg to buy new oem print cartridges. We don't print much but do need it occasionally for return labels and things like that.

being out of yellow shouldn't block b/w printing
Because of a software update, it is no longer printing grayscale with just the black ink cartridge--it keeps telling me I can't print until I buy and install colour cartridges as well. It used to work just fine with only black ink (what I need for 99% of my printing). Totally disruptive at work today. NOT impressed.

Hi annoyed666, Epson printers contain a permanent print head that must be charged with all colors to work. Even when you are printing only black text, a small amount of color ink is used to keep air bubbles from entering. Air bubbles can damage the print head. Buy something else or make sure you know tech
Paper holder must be positioned perfectly or you get an error message. Too many error messages come through about firmware update, not network connected, and other confusing statements. I keep fingers crossed every time I print something.

Disappointed Ink usage / requirements
I've had 3 Epson printers and this one is very disappointing.
Uses ink very fast and then it required true epson cartridges to print.
I would not recommend or buy this product !!

Won't Accept 3rd Party Ink
Worked good until the ink ran out. After the last firmware update, it won't accept 3rd party ink. Would not recommend. The Epson ink is the price of a new printer.
