Major Drawback
It doesn't let you go ahead with only black color cartidge, even though you need only grayscale printing. You have to buy all other color cartidge whether you use it or not.

3rd printer in a year
This is my 3rd printer in 1 year. I learned after the 1 to buy the protection plan from Staples. When I eturned the 2nd printer with the warranty, after a few months, and I bought a 3rd printer, I had to buy ANOTHER warranty on the new printer. The absolute worst printer I’ve ever owned!!!
I’ve only had the printer for a year. I’ve used it less than 10 times recently tried to use it it said I was out of ink. I purchased new ink from Staples and it printed two pages of only using black ink then said it was out of ink. POS- Run away from this one
Will not let you print in black if any of the colors are out. I bought this for a second home and have only printed a small number of black and white and now it won't work. I bought some aftermarket colors just to be able to print black and white and the printer won't recognize the cartridges. Ridiculous- uses color ink for black printing so you have to keep replacing ...

Great Until Firmware Update
All fine and dandy until you do a firmware update and Epson blocks you from using more economical ink cartridges. Wouldn't be a big deal if Epson's ink cartridges were actually better, but they are not and they eat through ink even on low settings. Spend the money on better laserjet printer that doesn't eat ink and require you to always use their brand.

Great printer
Miss the easy 2 sided copying that my other printers had. Takes more time and have to remember to flip pages - works, scans, and prints well. Great printer. Had problems with printer acknowledging to print - I think wrong software was installed (stated in comment by company) but working now

The quality of this printer and its ink issues are reflected in its price. Apparently there was a class action lawsuit held against Epson for its printer ink that has not prevented retailers like Staples from selling it. Must use epson ink
If you run out of one color it won’t print until you replace the cartridge. Even if you’re only printing b&w and your yellow is empty. I was able to use aftermarket ink until I updated the firmware. Scanner works good but I wish I bought a Canon.

NOT HAPPY WITH THIS
I am unhappy with this Epson printer, when I bought it and connected it to my printer somehow it doesn't work with windows 11, I am going to take it back to Staples and tell them they can have it back because it doesn't work with Windows 11 or something else is wrong with this Epson printer. It is a waste of money to me.
