Can't connect monitors
Bought 5 of these USB-C docking stations for our companies laptops so they could connect two monitors at the same time using the VGA and HDMI connections and they don't work. The only thing that works is connecting a mouse of keyboard to it to use an external keyboard and mouse. Even tried connecting just one VGA monitor to it and it won't work nor just the HDMI connec...

Most Unhelpful Company
Ordered by my mistake and cancelled within thirty minutes. Targus still charged me and despatched the goods several days later. I had to refuse the delivery when it eventually arrived. Having refused the delivery, Targus still made me wait another week until the goods arrived back before refunding. Will not be using them again.

Monitor connection didn't work
It didn't work with a monitor. Tried VGA and HDMI.Usb ports did work. It's being returned.

Hello, the DOCK419TT is a DP Alt Mode dock. What this means is that if your laptop does not have a port that supports DP Alt Mode (IE some USB C ports, Thunderbolt 3/4) then it will not be able to render displays. Please contact our customer support team at 877-482-7487 Monday thru Friday 10 AM to 7 PM EST. They will be happy to help you find a dock that will work for you.

Poor; ethernet interrupts
Since my laptop doesn't have an ethernet port, I tried the Targus dock419 to be able to use the higher speeds. We have a 1000 mbps fiber connection, which works OK for normal internet use. But on longer video calls (15+ minutes) the connection gets lost and I have to reboot before I can use it again. Not impressed.

No 4K 60 FPS support
It's 2021 and this is still only 4K 30Hz (HDMI 1.4 standard), most monitors are already at 2K 60Hz+ but this thing can only do 1080P 60Hz

Not compatible with some popular monitors
I have tried this station both with my at home HP set up and my work Dell set up and several times I have to unplug and re-plug my monitors. I wasn't impressed with the connection. The resolution wasn't up to par and the connected display was pixelated and glitchy.

Easy to use
The Targus USB-C DP Alt Mode Single Video 4K HDMI/VGA Docking Station with 100W PD Pass-Thru made hooking up and external monitor extremely easy for this not so tech savvy mom. I am now working from home and have two kiddos in virtual school so having easy options for multiple setups is great!

Very Useful!
I’ve been working from home for months now and didn’t know I needed this until I saw the docking station. It was easy to hook up to my laptop and then plug in the additional cords. I had no issues with connecting my laptop to my monitors.

Just what he needed...
I got this for my husband to make working from home easier. We got it set up and he said it was awesome. Easy to set up and use. Wish he hadn't lost his job and was still using it. Hopefully it will be of use again when he gets his next job. If you need a workstation...get this one!!

Exactly what I was looking for.
My laptop only has 2 USB ports so I was definitely in the market for an adapter that would let me use multiple monitors while still being connected to peripherals. This gets the job done! I love the small, compact design and have found that it is very easy to travel with. Easy hookup and no stability issues. It's exactly what I needed. Very highly recommend.

Works awesome!
This docking station works awesome! I ordered it for use on my computer; I have a Mac which only has USB C connectors, making it hard to use an optical mouse. With this I am able to connect my optical mouse AND can also use it to connect an additional monitor. Just plug it in and it is ready to use. Easy peasy.

Quite Handy
I use the Targus USB-C alt mode docking station on my laptop while working from home. It's pretty handy as it allows me to plug in multiple things such as keyboard, mouse, magic jack. It does not take up very much room. It was easy to hook up and has been working great for me so far.

Great product!
This hdmi cord works so well. It is a great length and effectively works to hook my laptop up to my television. Would highly recommend every tech user to own at least one of these cords. They are top notch

Works great!
Glad I got this, it was so much needed and worth it! Super easy to figure out and use, and I like the small size of it so it's not bulky and taking up too much room on my desk. Image resolution is perfect!

I am pleased with this product, 4K on point. It does the job well and brought no issues with charging the computer. It’s probably best to get a unit with more than one HDMI port so you are not limited.
