Overall I'm happy with the printer. Never had a bad quality print. Not the fastest but that's ok for me since I don't print a lot. There's been a couple of instances where I got blank prints. I paid less that $500 for a brand new ET5150, and that is way too much for what it is. It is absolutely useless as a wireless printer. It constantly looses connection and either starts to reprint from the start or loses the job, and the printer is less than two meters away from the wireless router. After a couple of weeks of use I find the document scanner slow and I have already needed to do a printer head cleaning after 100 sheets

Through the printer is out of warranty at this moment the printer has stopped printing. The nozzle assembly sounds like it prints but it doesn't. I am still using the ink that shipped with the printer...So spent $902.17 on a lemon.

No Smart Panel for Windows!!
Easy to install, a little lengthy but good at the end. The major issue for me is the fact that there is no Smart Panel for Windows... there are 6 or 7 apps in different locations but nothing in one central location, to make the user life easier.

You're luck if it prints all the pages of the document
The printer was decent at first, but it has always been extremely slow. If you have a larger document that is over 100 pages, you would be lucky if it printed under 30 minutes. Great printer, but scanner jams all the time
Printer works great, however the feed mechanism jams most of the time, it has always jammed most of the time, I have faith that it was never intended to not jam. Needless to say, when I scan I only scan one sheet at a time.

Saves big time on ink.
Bought this last year and waited to write this so buyers hype would not skew the review. I like the 5170 - a little slow but the idea of a whole year until refills is a HUGE plus. I have had problems all along with wireless connect and my desktop. It has really been a pain the last three months. Just download an update - hope that helps.

Good while it lasted.
Printer stopped loading from sheet feeder a few months out of warranty. Second Epson that’s stopped basically at the end of the warranty period. Will not buy another Epson. Just my opinion.

Not satisfied at all with what it's supposed to do. All the print quality settings (even the highest) do not have super crisp and clear printing results (BW & COLOR). Paper feeder location sucks in the back... and so does the envelope feeder location that you have to remove the entire stack of papers inside the bin
