We have been using our air conditioner for about 1month now. It is very quiet and we love that. It also cools very good, we keep it on power saver. Will know next power bill how energy efficient it is.

Major Disappointment
I purchased an LG window A/C because we had owned one of same size for the same home for many years and were satisfied with its performance. This new model stopped working at one year (which is past warranty) and 8 months. Best Choice I Could Have Made!!
I did a lot of research on what size unit I needed to cool my garage so that I could work on all of my "Honey Do's" and found that my LW18171VSM was the best match for my needs both by size and by cost. I have had my A/C working now for nearly a year and could not be happier. It really helps me beat our hot Texas days!

Great air conditioner all that I had hoped for
I have had this unit for a month and it does what we needed it is cooling 800 sq feet in the hot part of a Texas summer where we broke a record for 100 degree days in a month Awesom!

Great window unit
I'm very pleased with my new LG Air Conditioner. It runs quiet and cools my entire house. I also love the remote turn on option, so I can turn it on before I get home.

Island Salt Water :(
This AC unit was nice at the beginning for our 970sqft condo, but we've had it for 2.5 years and the salt water has started to corrode the outside fins. The installer thought it was weird that there wasn't a drain plug or any discussion in the manual about having it drain. It now looks like this might be related to the corrosion issue. Efficiently cool and quite
Bought this three months ago worked fine but then would not go into f3 fan speed mode. Also display would change from one mode to another when using the remote. Very powerful and cold air.
We bought this a/c because of the reviews. We have an open area of 530 square feet and it keeps it very cold and cools down the hallway and bathroom. Only negative is you have to make sure the plug in on the panel is plugged in good or it shows and error. Would definitely recommend, but customer service was not very good when contacted.

Quiet as a mouse

Since I'm wheelchair bound, my neighbor installed.
It installed just in time with the heat wave hitting across the country. The unit has kept our bedroom, as well as the bathroom and kitchen a pleasant and constant 70°. The only problem is I was unable to link my phone to the unit.

Stopped working less than a year later
I bought this August 2021 and it stopped working June 2022. I am so mad because I paid alot for this!!! My cheap a/c is still working compared to this garbage.

Disappointed
I have had my LG for 11 months. It stopped working 1month after warranty. I call and was graciously given a one time extension on warranty but the company was not able to find anyone to come out for service. This is an expensive product to have gone out especially when you consider it was only used 7 months of that 11pm that since purchased.

First time purchasing an LG product.
Have had this maybe a month...so far its wonderful ..it is so quiet that you want to get up to go see if its on , and then you say but its cold here ..lol so yes its on. i hope it functions for years to come...
