ET-3850 - Insufficient instructions on Epson Support site

Compact, fits anywhere
So far, just right. Easy setup via AirPrint with my just purchased Mac.
Easy tank install, don’t overthink it, it fills itself.
It doesn’t feel like a more expensive printer, for sure, but if you are looking for home use on a regular basis, this one is a good choice.

Won’t connect to Apple
We spent 2 hours trying to connect this printer to our wireless router. Instead it wanted to connect to our fan. Not compatible with Apple apparently. Epson has a lot of complaints about this issue . Returning the unit.

Too slow and loud
We are disappointed as the printer is slower and louder than our previous one by a different manufacturer. In addition, although the download to connect with our new iMac was efficient, the follow-up connection to make certain the scanner worked either the Mac was time consuming and annoying.

They don't stand by their products or warranty
Was good for a while, then non-stop paper jams. I called their support and they sent me a replacement, but the replacement they sent was defective from the start, it just wasted a bunch of my time and caused a lot of stress. They refused to send me another replacement. Terrible customer service, they don't stand by their products.

Good printer for me..
I purchased a Refurb unit off of Amazon in May of 2024 and honestly, it's been great for me, so it's kind of crazy seeing all of the bad reviews, I must have just gotten lucky..
It's been the best printer I've had so far with only one feeding hiccup to date. I've printed quite a few photos and of course documents and such.. Hopefully it stays that way

Wonderful
I bought this printer about 2 years ago and love it. Have not had to add ink - black at about 20% remaining and all colors at 50%. With an ink jet I was spending $200/year.

Just OK. Seems high maintenance. I have a 15-year-old Canon Pixma MX860 that never gave me any problems. But I can't update the drivers to Windows 11, so I have to recycle a device that still works perfectly. In comparison, everything today on the market is cheap junk, so that's what we're forced to buy. This latest included ().
