Dymo LabelWriter
Works Great for what I need it for. Fast, after downloading software, it has functions my previous on did not have.

Expensive, Poor Selection Name Brand Labels Only
Dymo 450 printers are great. Unfortunately it doesn't look like they're being made anymore. This 550 model doesn't allow for anything except DYMO brand labels, which are expensive and have a poor selection. I used to use custom labels with my color logo on them in my 450 printers - can't do that with these. Basically the same product just trying to rope you into paying ...

Returned item.
Apparent software issue. Unable to connect to MAC computer. Problem appears to be DYMO software, but no real help from Staples tech help except return product to store for a refund.

Did not work out of the box
Purchased to add support for a remote office. USB did not work with Windows, either Dymo Connect or Dymo Label V8; older printers worked fine. Network connection also did not work. Defective unit? Expensive waste of time so far.

Reliable Low Price Label Printer
I had my original one since 2019 and it has been a great label printer. Easy to use and easy to maintain. I have it connected by USB so I can't attest to it's WIFI ability but a great printer.

Don't buy this
I have had this printer for a few months now, it worked great until recently. I have exclusively been using the DYMO labels, as the printer does not recognize any other labels. I haven't even made it through the first roll and the printer has stopped recognizing the DYMO labels and keeps showing a popup saying they're foreign labels. I will not be using this printer any...

Dymo Labelwriter 550
Our office ordered two Dymo Labelwriter printers. The users both like the printers very much, but one of the printers had an issue when loading the printer label roll.

Avoid at all costs. Cannot use third part labels.
Dymo now uses digital rights management to for you to use ONLY labels manufactured by Dymo at a much higher cost. This is a deal breaker, we use custom partially pre-printed labels not available from Dymo. If you have already purchased a 550 series printer you are better off to toss it into the dumpster and buy another brand, you could also use it as a door stop to av...

Printer works as indicated.
I had some problems setting it up but the tech support is very helpful. What is needed is more step by step You Tube videos on the different processes.

Requires expensive DRM labels
This product requires you to use Dymo's expensive DRM engabled labels. I will be returning it.

Terrible
The old printer was great and I’ve been a loyal customer for 9 years if not longer tbh!!! Unfortunately they ruined it with this new updated machine where you can only use their labels. The new printer has some kind of special way of reading wether the labels are genuine Dymo or not. This is fine, The problem with this is that it doesn’t work at all and, it cannot read...

Hot Garbage. Buy the 450
Requires RFID Labelstock. not backwards compatible with the original Dymo label program. New program is not easy to configure and has fewer options

Good Small Label Printer
The printer was exactly what we needed for our label print needs. I do wish other label manufactures would be available.

Great little label printer; lousy software
Used a Dymo 400 LabelWriter for years until it started eating labels; liked its software. Decided to get new one, chose the Dymo LabelWriter 550 Turbo; it is a great little label printer, but the new software for it is a real pain. This software is non-intuitive and requires much study to get it to do its work.
