Best buy ... price vs quality at its best
Always purchased HP products but finally got fed up with HP's problems with printing. Took chance and purched this Canon printer and I'm glad I did. The price a steal ... the quality of the printed page just a good as my office printer (though much slower) and the set up a no brainer. Canon you have a customer for life!!

BAD BUY
I bought this printer online and was delievered fast. I tried for 2 days to set it up and did everything I could. It would not link up with my computer no matter how hard I tried. I followed all institutions and could not get it to print on my computer.

It's crazy
The toner for my HP laser jet was $103. This printer was $99 and the toner is $75. It's cheaper to buy a new printer than toner. What gives?

Will not stay connected to wifi
This printer was difficult to get connected to network and that should have been my red flag to return it immediately. It consistently disconnects from wifi network and requires about 30 minutes of troubleshooting with tech support to get it reconnected every time I want to use it, then immediately disconnects again. Horrible wireless printer - count yourself lucky if it prints.

Prints fine, a small hassle to get it connected

So far so good
I’ve had it a week and used it four or five times - so I have no idea how well it will hold up. Price was very reasonable - bottom of the line. The Canon printer that it replaces was also their cheapest, and it lasted me six years of household printing before it crapped out… I have a lot of faith in their products.

Worst printer that Canon has ever made!
I've been using Canon printers since they came out with their first Bubble Jet in the 1980's. I made a BIG mistake buying this printer, a total piece of junk! I'm running MAC 10.13.6 and also use Linux. Support has also gotten very bad as it takes forever to contact them for help. I still have 4 MX922 printers that I use for printing on disks. No more Pixma printer 4 me
Don't buy it!
Very slow as a printer!
Takes too long to play with Wi-Fi connection setup! (and you need to do it almost on the regular basis)
Ink display not correct.
Multiple page scanner feeds deforming pages!
After just a week vacations (lost power to my house) just spent about 2 and a half hours and still not communicating with my desktop PC.

Wish I'd looked at the reviews BEFORE I purchased the TR4720. This is my 5th CANON printer and unfortunately, this is a gigantic piece of do-do. Of course, I had a tech issue immediately after install, maybe 1/2 hour and still charged $20. The control panel is designed to make it as hard as possible to navigate. I still may be able to return it.
