My New "Go-To" Choice
Great for the desktop environment! Quality, reliable printing, reasonably priced ink and reliable performance. Paper tray is a little small only holding 100 sheets, 250 would be better.

Go to another brand.
This machine was hard to set up and its hard to use . Not elderly people approved.

Canon Pixma - for "do it yourself-ers"
Documentation is fairly light for this printer. Eventually you can figure everything out with online resources and referring to youtube. It would be nice if the printer ran a self install routine that would tame the learning curve

One copy and it failed ,error codes , repeated trying to self correct
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT It did not work after one copy . I bought it because I needed one copy . Then got an error code . 5100 . paper jam ? nope. ……packaging material stuck in machine ? nope . Then try cleaning contacts. ??? WHAT ? It made one copy !

sticker removal was difficult
Tried two different products to remove the glue left from the sticker. Took the color off. Returned the printer. Tried other products, including rubbing alcohol on the second printer. Still have a sticky residue on the top of the printer. Less glue Please!!

the auto copying at the top of the printer.
After the test page, the auto copying hasn't worked at all, and I read from other users that it's a common issue. My question is...why Canon hasn't fixed the problem instead of ignoring it?

Not disappointed
The printer is just what I needed, it's the right fit for my desk top and the price was within my budget. The only reason for the 4-stars is the price of the ink, one combo box is almost as much as the printer itself.

My older Canon was better
I liked my older Canon better because the screen was bigger and ink life seemed to have been better. The screen on this one is not lit and is way too small.

TR4720 printer
The TR4720 replaced my six-year old TR4520 and it works fine. I got a lot of help from Canon's helper service to get the new printer into operation.

Canon All-in-one printer
I do not recommend getting the Canon PIXMA TR4720 all in one printer. In order to use the scanner you have do download drivers, and you cannot use a Chromebook for scanning.
