Smaller memory worked!
Sometimes the right size is smaller memory and this was one of those. Your tech guy at the Middletown CT Staples was VERY helpful! He was focused attentive and knowledgeable in quick order. He was a good listener and knew what questions to ask to identify the problem and solution. Fantastic experience with your tech guy in what started out as a frustrating problem we ...

Multi-thousands of photos
I haven't used my camera since installing the card but good advice from staff (I'm a digital dummy) on which card size would be my most economical choice.

do they come smaller?
Lexar SDs very reliable. Do they still come in smaller storage capacities? Some older industrial applications 1 or 2 GB cards for firmware updates. For personal use and the specific industrial app I needed to address this worked well thanks

Response from Staples :
Hi Doug I'm sorry to hear this happened and I understand your frustration. I've experienced this myself with SD cards and USB flash drives. Based on my research there is a small amount of space on the memory card or flash drive that is used when the card is formatted. This is usually an allocation table which shows where the parts of a file are written on the drive. You can reformat the card or drive and this may consolidate the amount of space used which may free up more memory availability. Please keep in mind that doesn't always work as it can depend upon the operating system of your computer or device. I hope this information helps and please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. We'll be happy to look into it for you! ^JH

32GB - Exactly what I needed
I needed to update my vehicle's MAP and the original SDcard that came with it was not sufficient for the newer MAP requirements. This 32GB SD was already FAT formatted so all I needed to do was upload the latest MAP and insert into the vehicle SD slot.
