Great All-in-One Printer.
I recently purchased this all-in-one printer to replace a previous Brother model, after more than ten years of owning it. It’s simple and straightforward to set up. This printer is compact, simple and easy to use, and reliable. Have always had good experiences using Brother products. Highly recommended.

Will stop printing at any time
As soon as this printer detects that one of four ink cartridges (yes, just one of the four) is low, it will stop printing and refuse to print anything more until the cartridge is replaced. Mind you, this will happen in the middle of a print job with no warning whatsoever. The preceeding pages that did print will look perfectly fine so you know there is ink still in the ...

Very good with a setup flaw
Set up of this printer went very smoothly with one exception. When printing from Wi-Fi on my Apple Mac, it fails to print however, when I print from my Apple iPhone, it will print so I need to reach out to Customer Service and ask them to comment on why printing from the Mac is not working to print from Wi-Fi.

I chose this Brother printer after needing to replace a very reliable 10 year old HP printer. The two-sided printing is a nice feature. I find that the speed is slower per page than I was previously use to and much louder.

Works Great!
The only drawback I ran into was that it took a good 2.5 hrs to setup the PC to the printer. I'm hoping that it was worth it getting all the bells and whistles. Other than that, the printer runs so much faster than my old Epson! I can't wait to see how long the new ink cartridges last, compared to the old printer.

Small printer does it all
This printer has a small footprint, but can scan, print, fax and copy. It was easy to setup and I didn’t have to use cables. Once connected to wifi, all my devices saw it. My last Brother printer was 13 years old and still worked great, but it was no longer compatible with my new laptop. not compatible with chromebook
although your website states that the Acer Chromebook plus 514 is comparable with the HL-L2460dw, it isn't. Waste of my time. Guess I should have gone with canon or hp. Will be returning printer today

excellent printer
This replaced my worn out HP printer. It is much nicer to use. It’s spatial footprint is smaller, it boots up quicker, its controls are clearer, scanner easier. It’s more esthetic. Of course, inkjet color is not up to laser printing but it’s sufficient for me.

Great printer
This is my second brother printer, having to replace my first and only other one after about 6 years. The ink goes a long way. This printer, J1170W is super fast. Only down side is that it’s noisier than my previous brother printer. Overall, great printer for my home printer needs and economical. I would recommend this

Never had a Brother product before. Always HP. But so hard to get help with HP. Computer guy recommended Brother. Easy to set up. Seems a bit noisy compared to HP printer. Still can't change recommended password.
