DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
Just went to set up my new HP 5101 printer and the plug will not fit into the back of the printer, won't fit in securely. Ok, this is a bad sign already! Will be returning. I thought spending $260 on a printer would get me a good printer but it did NOT.

I hope that I just haven’t learned how to use this printer yet, but most times I’ve tried to print with it have been an adventure.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
Just went to set up my new HP 5101 printer and the plug will not fit into the back of the printer, won't fit in securely. Ok, this is a bad sign already! Will be returning. I thought spending $260 on a printer would get me a good printer but it did NOT.

Meets Expectations
Replaced an OfficeJet 6700. Much quieter. Unlike the OfficeJet 6700 that many times went thru 3-5 mins of system checks this printer prints pretty much on demand. Print quality appears as good. Color printing appears more accurate and a bit sharper. Setup was extremely easy with good English directions. Wireless hookup was very easy. Connecting to PC Laptop Ipads ...

So far so good.
Takes half a minute before first page prints but the paper pulls smoothly which makes the process easier. I wish there was a way to print in draft mode without having to select it each time.

So far so good it seems like a good printer. Price was right and it arrived in the promised time frame. HP is usually pretty reliable.

Disappointed
I don’t like it. It’s loud and clunky and the screen is difficult to read. It also seems to disconnect from the internet a lot. I am returning it.

Looks like my solution!
Love this printer. I needed one that would work on *dual-band* wifi (2.5 and 5 gHz). This one does. Set up was painless -- load the ink insert the printheads download the app Bob's your uncle. When printing double sided, choose long edge on app before printing or it will come out with the second side upside down. You can download pdfs to your phone for printing. I found the hp app a little different types of graph paper, then use it to print.
Had it a week. Printing from our phones is a lot faster then using the computer. 300 pages using computer took 7 hours. With our phones 1500 sheets took same amount of time. When printing we found that if you hit print, it can take longer then a minute before printer starts. Not happy
This is not an easy machine to use. The plug does not fit well into the computer frequently falling out. It also has frequent paper jams. Would not recommend but now I own it so I am dealing with it. Would not recommend.

Not impressed. I may not be an expert but I'm still good with tech.
Connectivity is a real pain. Did not come with usb incase you have wifi issues. You can connect directly with your phone using wifi but that will disconnect your phone from the internet hope you have cell service mine is poor. Printing can be confusing gives you two options for printing the second one being a remote option completes action without sending to printer...

Fits my needs nicely for my home office
