HP Smart Tank 6001 All-in-One Printer
I received this printer in exchange for my honest review. When I received the package, it was fully intact with no damage. After opening the box, I found it to be packaged very well with all necessary information needed to set up the printer. The set up went as planned by following the step-by-step instructions included. Installing the ink went better than I had anticip...

It didn't meet my needs
The print quality was good. It doesn't have automatic 2 sided printing and it doesn't tell you which way to load for the second side. It is not possible to load much paper and it has to sit out on top of the printer sticking up. It won't automatically print from a PDF, you have to open Adobe Reader or something program like that and save it. It was not easy to chang...

Meets Expectations
Replaced an OfficeJet 6700. Much quieter. Unlike the OfficeJet 6700, that many times went thru 3-5 mins of system checks, this printer prints pretty much on demand.
Print quality appears as good. Color printing appears more accurate and a bit sharper.
Setup was extremely easy with good English directions. Wireless hookup was very easy.

Disappointed
I don’t like it. It’s loud and clunky and the screen is difficult to read. It also seems to disconnect from the internet a lot. I am returning it.

Looks like my solution!
Love this printer. I needed one that would work on *dual-band* wifi (2.5 and 5 gHz). This one does. Set up was painless -- load the ink, insert the printheads, download the app, Bob's your uncle. Just note that you need to AGGRESSIVELY insert the power cord into the back of the printer to make it stay put. Once I solved that, the rest was easy -- I connected to wifi, my...

I upgraded. I hope I made a good choice.
I owned an HP 8600 a”All In One” (Print Scan and Fax) printer for 13 years until the printer heads needed to be replaced. A repair cost benefit decision led me to STAPLES and a replacement. The Tech Guy asked me what I liked and what I didn’t like about my 8600. My big negative was the $95 ink cartridge replacement cost. He showed me a new smart tan printer that had ...

Not impressed. I may not be an expert but I'm still good with tech.
Connectivity is a real pain. Did not come with usb incase you have wifi issues. You can connect directly with your phone using wifi but that will disconnect your phone from the internet, hope you have cell service mine is poor. Printing can be confusing, gives you two options for printing, the second one being a remote option, completes action without sending to printer...

Fits my needs nicely for my home office
I've only had it for a little over a month and I love the smaller size compared to my 2 previous hp printers. The plastic trays are flimsy compared to the heavier old printers, but I'm getting used to it. I think I will like the ink tanks much better than the old, expensive ink cartridges as I can easily see how much ink is available. The only little problem I've had is...

Best HP Printer to Date
Have had problems setting up and using HP printers in the past, but HP seems to have gotten the message. Set up for this one was quick and easy. Liked the new "Smart Tank" system as well.

A slow start...
I had a slow start getting my printer set up and running. The plug that goes into the back of the printer does not have a snug fit. As I started to set up my printer, all of the indicator lights were blinking. I opened the HP Smart app and utilized the "Virtual Assistant" to ask about the indicator lights. They could not help me. I stopped; waited until the next day and...

Replaces decades old HP Office jet pro-8600
My old HP office jet pro Printer was purchased over 10 years ago, on the advice of a staples associate over ink cost. Much cheaper than ink and toner, the 4 required cartridges were still pricey, never used the fax or automatic document feeder. This printer has neither. HP claims the ink in the included 4 ink bottles will last 2 years. Uses 2 print heads and I hope they...

Great so far
Easy to install and connect! Requires a bit of attention to do it, like every eletronic device, but very easy! The HP smart app helps immensely.
So far so good!

Great Choice for High Volume Users
Very pleased with print quality. Although my wife and I are not high volume users, but even so, we saw the Smart Tank 6001 as a potential means to cut ink costs. We are 6 months here in Central NY and 6 months in Florida. So I'm expecting it may prove to be necessary to replace the printer heads each spring when we return.
