Don't Buy HP Printers.. HP smart app doesnt work
I have used HP printers for years. HP added the HP smart print app a few years ago and the app doesnt work half the time. I just purchased a laser printer 4101fdw and set it up. Great printer for business use.
Good little printer. Purchased 2 of them for home office. Got the second paper tray. Small footprint. Lots of features… AirPrint direct from my phone works great. There is even a setting that will allow you to run the printer quieter, at the expense of speed. Working as Advertised
So far the printer is working as advertised. Setup was simple, although I am not sure why I was instructed to connect via the HP Smart Print App. It wasn't clear what would happen if I connected without it, nor why I need it. Had difficulty connecting printer to my computer. HP Smart-setup did not recognize the printer. Tried many times... At the end, I needed HP technical help.
