A bit difficult to get the initial setup but with help from HP ( which took quite awhile to get their help number) I was happy to report that there was a very professional assistant who gave me the time of day and solved the problem. There should be less AI. Interference with the customer because they do not understand any minor changes in your description of a problem...

I will never buy hp again they are not reliable like they use too in the past also staples needs lower their online prices only

Great Printer in every way!

To early to tell
I have owned many HP printers and the monochrome lasers typically last forever. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the color models. I have the predecessor M401n and it is amazing how much smaller the 4001 form factor is. Let's hope it is just as reliable. It's perfect for my workstation!
I like the automatic duplex system and the drop down door so that I can run copies back to back on the forms that I want to.

Bad Printer
Have Windows 11 and with each update the computer no longer sees the printer. Have to reload printer multiple times before it can be used- Poor HP/Windows interface. This will be the last HP Printer I buy.

Buyer beware
I am a huge fan of HP printers and have bought many throughout my different careers. I bought this dual tray laser printer to use for printing loan documents as a notary signing agent. It looks great but it has its problems. During setup it would not stay connected so I could set it up in my browser. Then it told me it needed to update software. After it would stay connected. Could not get email to setup for scanning. Spent an hour on the phone with HP and they could not get it to work. Works with a gmail account but not my business account. Y...

faster than a speeding jet
For our small office I love it a little noisy but fast. Wish the boss had gotten a color printer but that is okay we love it anyway

Does the job
I mostly use it for printing 8 1/2 x 11. Sometimes for envelopes. Might use it for copying or scanning nice to have the capability. In general I use my iPhone for scanning.
