Got off to a rough start, however staples did a good job of helping out ( The first unit would not initilize , claimed out of ink) The replacement followed the start up book effortlessly. I've printed several doc's now and appreciate the wifi stand alone functionality ( ios and windows devices) . This is probably my 7th or 8th printer , works as it should , good value ,...

NEED COLOR TO PRINT BLACK AND WHITE?!?
I cannot print black and white without full color cartridges?!? I didn't know I needed yellow to print a black and white paper.... Guess I will be waiting another week before I can print what I need. Very unhappy!

Hi Dw2002, Epson printers contain a permanent print head that must be charged with all colors to work. Even when you are printing only black text, a small amount of color ink is used to keep air bubbles from entering. Air bubbles can damage the print head. Terrible
This machine has wasted hours of my time. Setup was a pain. I still can't seem to operate it from my computer. After about 4 or 5 cleaning cycles, it is still not printing properly AND it is already showing low ink. Not Happy
Only have this printer a few months and notice that the ink is constantly drying up and have to change cartridges. Also, every document i print has missing lines or streaks that there is no ink. Really disappointed in this product.

The printer couldn't even print initial test pages without them jamming. Don't waste your time even setting it up.

Poor customer service and warranty backup
Printer had defect within the warranty period. Epson asked for Photos. I sent photos never heard from them again.

You'll pay 10x in ink for the $20 you save on this garbage
Easily the worst printer I've owned in the last 20 years. In addition to constant firmware issues and random resets, you'll need to replace your ink cartridges about every 3-5 documents. It's completely unusable if you're doing anything more than printing a couple one-page documents per month.

Some problems.
It seems to perform well but looks and feels flimsy. The printer was delivered to the wrong address and I had to retrieve it. It was left in the open on the sidewalk visible from the street and could easily have been stolen.

Only good if you don't have to print a lot of copies. Ink cartridges are small and need replacing to frequently and expensive.
I am not happy with the printer the ink cartridges are too small. I only bought it within the last two weeks and printed out about 20 copies and it was saying the ink cartridges was low. The screen on the outside of the printer is small and not easy to use need small fingers. Thinking about returning and getting a bigger printer.

Needy
Absolutely the neediest printer I have ever owned. It is in constant need of a software update, firmware update, or a new cartridge. I should have spent 4 times the money and it would have been worth it to avoid this machine. I don't print things when I have all day to massage this thing's shoulders. I am printing when I am busy and have things to do.
