It didn't meet my needs
The print quality was good. It doesn't have automatic 2 sided printing and it doesn't tell you which way to load for the second side. It is not possible to load much paper and it has to sit out on top of the printer sticking up. It won't automatically print from a PDF, you have to open Adobe Reader or something program like that and save it. It was not easy to chang...

Limited functionality, terrible return policy
I usually buy anything like this at Costco and recently chose to buy my computer there because of their great service and return policy. HP Smart Tank Printer
Nice sized printer/scanner/copier. Love the idea of refill ink rather than buying cartridges. Set up was frustrating. It went fine for printing, however I had to eventually download a driver for the scanner to work. Produces good quality prints.

Used to swear by HP, now I wouldn't recommend it
In my opinion, this was one of my WORST BUYING DECISIONS IN A LONG TIME. I WISH I HAD BOUGHT THE THE EPSOM @ COSTCO. Paper width limitations.
This is an excellent printer BUT some of the paper I use is printer-compatible but 12" wide and it won't fit in the paper feeder. I wish I had realized this before I purchased it.

Something a little new.
I have never used a tank printer so this is a first for me. Label says that the printer comes with two years of ink. Something like 8000 pages of black and white and 6000 pages of color. I am partial to HP printers. However, since I see more and more tank printers being marketed, I want to try one myself. Looking forward to it.

Like but don’t love
I was forced to buy a new printer after I updated my router to higher speed. I was told this would install easily. It didn’t. Took me several hours. I do like the ease of installing the ink. Haven’t checked the price of ink replacement yet. Just hoping it isn’t too expensive. Prints nice but has a few odd bugs that I haven’t quite worked out yet.

Works great for small offices
Great little printer. Only used for a month and it is working great. No issues yet. Easy to hook up to computer, easy to fill/refill the ink tanks. Print jobs are coming out and looking good.

Set up was easy but kept becoming unavailable even though still connected to wifi. Turned it off then on and then it was found by HP Print app. However soon became unavailable again when printing completed.

I found it hard to set up and I don't care for the way the paper is put in without any protection from dirt. The product did come with instructions which helped but I am disappointed in it. It also requires HP smar which only works on 2.4 GHZ for the internet wireless and I had to call the phone company to add the 2.4 back in.

Very unpleased with 2 sided print being "manual." I just assumed it would be automatic since my previous HP ENVY 4512 was.

Time It Takes to Print
I just recently bought the HP Smart Tank 5101, I love the crisp colors but the machine takes a long time recognizing and printing. The other day it wouldn't print and I had to delete the printer from the computer and redo everything all over again which was a hassle since I was in a time crunch to get documents printed.

Not happy with purchase.
Extreme difficulty connecting to the printer to print documents. Unable to print excel and word documents. Can only print PDFs.
