Excellent laser printer
This Brother MFC-L8900CDW printer is huge, but was easy to set up and the copies are crisp and beautiful. It is hardwired to my computer and wireless connected to my husband’s computer. It prints from my iPad and my iPhone…YES!
The only issue is with the cost of replacement print cartridges.
I still recommend this printer for those who do a lot of printing at home...

WASTE OF MONEY
Ran fine for about 9 months with one glitch - the printer kept telling me that the yellow cartridge was empty after I replaced it. That happened once until this December when it happened repeatedly. I spent valuable time exchanging yellow cartridges. Brother support was non existent. When I first contacted them, I was in the middle of a work deadline and I couldn't find...

Once it's set up, it's great
So far so good. Prints are crisp and works quickly. Only reason it's not a 5 star review is the set up. All of the instructions are written for people who are familiar with Brother's Products (specifically the vocab) and I had to reach out to customer support more than once just to set up the ability to scan to email. Very very difficult to navigate set up and tech prob...

Economical Complete Business Solution
Brothers decision to allow OEM toner products is a key differentiator to the competition, especially HP and Canon. This product performs without issue and scanning speed is excellent. As a plus, the color coverage does not overutiluze the toner.

Disappointed
Very disappointed. I had a 9970CDW for years and loved it. This machine has been very frustrating, will not scan to my PC even though it’s hardwired to my internet, often times takes several minutes to print, and tech support was very UNhelpful.

REALLY BAD AND HARD TO SED UP, ALSO EXPENSIVE
I bought this printer hoping it would boost my productivity, but it’s been the exact opposite. Compared to a $50 printer I used to own —yes, a printer that cost just 5% of this one’s price— this machine is incredibly disappointing. That cheap printer was much faster, used less ink, and was way easier to set up.
This one? Unbelievably slow. There have been days where it...

So far, so good!
Have had the copier for a little more than a week -- and, so far, it's been great. Easy to set up, B/W copies look terrific (have yet to make color copies), it's quiet, and has numerous useful features. If you're shopping for a copier, consider this one.

Just won't Die
I've had lots of printers over the years; ink jets lasers, copiers, etc. Almost every brand and the Brother has been the most dependable.

This machine is fairly slow. It does NOT give you a warning when you are getting close to be out of ink.

Disappointed that the back has to be open to do labels and specialty prints on thinker paper. This takes up another foot on my desk. Calibration needs to be done frequently when using specialty paper. Normal printing and 2-sided printing is great.

slow in printing
I bought this printer few months ago and already needed to replace all toners. We used canon before but this printer use alot of ink I think. Can not get hold of customer service to get answers on issues. . I can not register the product as it shows error. The printing is super slow. It takes 10-15 seconds before printer starts printing.

Unable to Register Product
Don't Bother. Do not buy this printer because you will not be able to register it online. You will constantly receive the message that the serial number is invalid although you have repeatedly checked to insure you have entered it correctly. Online support is absolutely useless. You cannot have service or replacement of parts or the machine if you cannot register it.

Printer is awesome with great functionality. The only draw back was in the Scanning to E-Mail setup. It was a bit difficult. I called Tech Support and they helped get me through it. He had a bit of an attitude and did forget a step so it didn't work, but I was able to figure out what he forgot.

A diamond with one rough edge.
Extremely well crafted printer / scanner with good support. One area for improvement would be better software for windows 11. My setup is windows 11 native driver (for printing) and iPrint&Scan (for scanning) - with ZERO Brother drivers. This works great for me, but should be plug and play right out of the box.
