I bought this printer and paid more than the returned one to have better quality. The current printer is so complicated that everything should be matching it rather than it matches by itself automatically.

Canon MF665Cdw meets my expectations.
Full function printer, with some minor exceptions: I cannot set a unique e-mail address as I can on my old HP. The printer is faster than my HP, does double sided printing and scanning seamlessly and faxes through my MagicJack without error. There is no option to scan to email in grayscale from the machine control panel; only color and black-and-white modes are available.
The PDF output of black-and-white scans contains NTSC TV artifacts. In the settings, the option to use alternative grayscale conversion algorithms (sRGB, RGB) is disabled.

Scan is only 300x300 dpi
The printer is compact and prints great color prints. The specs says the scanning capacity is 600x600 but the actual is 300x300 and there is no option to change it on your phone app. I would never pay full retail price.

Scanning Setup Nightmare
Overall, I'm happy with the printing. For home users, or perhaps small businesses without IT support, setting up scan to email really isn't practical. It has to be configured to an email server you control, among other things. My 10-year-old Epson Ink Jet just let you enter an email address.

Exceptional Print Quality
