It tends to go into a deep sleep so restarting every day has been needed. It is also louder than the last one I had.

Works Well Easy to Set Up
I haven't replaced a printer in several years and I found this one to be very easy to set up and use immediately. The print quality is very good. The materials are much lighter than previous printers so you have to be a little more gentle when opening/closing door and drawers. All in all a good purchase.

Seems good right out of the box but cannot scan from the Home Screen.
Printer makes beautiful prints and copies but isn’t able to scan automatically from the Home Screen. Extremely disappointed after spending more than an hour with HP tech support that scanning could not be set up. I have to use an app to scan. NOT HAPPY. I will see if Apple support can help. Other than that issue it’s a new printer that works well. Replaced simila...

Cashier: 1259199 in Macon GA was so gracious to ordering this wonderful color printer for me. It came in as expected and The Cashier: 1259199 called me to let me know it was there in Macon GA. cheap product/don't buy
advertised as compatible to our old printer and its not. have to manually make it do 2 sided. Printing quality is horrible. Scan only works half the time.

I print a lot of documents. The prints are crisp and clear. The machine is fast. Set-up was super easy. Getting out of the box was more difficult. I love the two-tray system for printing envelopes. It has been a month and no issues so far.

Excellent quality
I have owned this a week so far it's a wonderful printer. I've been using heavily scanning as well. It's a HEAVY machine which I appreciate because it feels sturdier than what is out there.

No duplex printing.
I assumed that the HP 4201dn would do duplex printing out of the box. Silly me! It turns out that you have to buy a special attachment for $100+. I've used HP printers for 40+ years--never got taken for a ride like this!

I bought 2 of these. I had to return both of them. One was full of error codes. The other would just freeze up and stop. People at the store were wonderful taking them back.

Good once set up
A little difficult to set up. Software d/l on HP site confusing and multiple errors and retries before finally worked. All good now.
