Our Smooth Tear was intentionally designed for how people actually dispense. While people do dispense all different ways, they typically are not pulling straight down on the sheet, but multi-directionally at an angle. The angled perforations are now aligned with the angled dispensing direction, which results in needing less force to dispense the sheet, vs dispensing the straight-edged sheet. As for the lint you're experiencing, this can come from one of two causes. First, the softness is directly related to the amount of lint; meaning, the softer the toilet paper, the more lint there will be. The second cause is lint builds up on paper manufacturing lines.
