Worst Customer Service
Printer drums broke at less than one year old. Told me it was my fault and warranty doesn't cover the part needed. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told no.

Excellent quality from a color laser printer
Print quality is excellent. Printing is relatively fast and quiet. Connecting to the user's WiFi network can be a bit challenging as is finding and downloading the driver software from the Brother Support web-site.

Laser Jet Brother
I like the printer. My only complaint is it is a bit slow. The fact that it prints two-sided was a surprise and welcome! The initial supply of ink ran out pretty fast tho. I hope the replacement cartridges do better. I cannot seem to get on the site where I can sign up for auto refills. Must call and get that straightened out. Would be nice not to run out of ink...

Fiable et efficace
Ayant déjà eu une imprimante laser couleur de Brother (que j'ai endommagée par ma faute), je n'ai pas hésité à la remplacer par celle-ci. Donc, pas de surprise, que du ravissement.

Useless Due to Cartridge Lock Out
The Brother HL-L3280CDW prints well when it works, but the ink cartridge policy makes it practically unusable. If even one cartridge runs empty, the entire printer locks up—meaning you can’t print anything, not even simple black and white documents.

I’m sorry to hear that you are having Printing in black and white when color toner cartridges are empty issues with the Brother HLL3280CDW. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you. We can help with that.
If your Brother HLL3280CDW cyan, magenta, or yellow toners run out, you can choose Mono in the printer driver to allow you to keep printing. You'll be able to keep printing until the black toner runs out. When the black toner runs out, you won't be able to print until you replace it.

The printer works
The printer appears to work well but I have not had time to put it through a serious work-out yet thus only the 4 star rating. Brother has gone downhill
The old Brother HL-L3xxx series printers were workhorses. They printed fairly fast and worked reliably. These new ones are built cheaper priced higher and programmed to hassle you for using non-ridiculously overpriced OEM cartridges. Solid printer but some drawbacks
This printer does not allow me to copy letters. The set-up is difficult; I needed help getting it to work. I would have liked a hard copy of the user manual.

32 days.......
The printer worked for 32 days before the errors began. It started with the DRUM! error After about an hour of use I have to "clean" the toner each time I print. The back door randomly opens on its own while printing causing an immediate jam. Although xxl inks are sold the machine does not accept them it thinks it is still out of ink. Great Printer - Great Price!
Firstly, I liked the purchase cost; great price. Secondly, the picture reproduction and quality are excellent. I particularly like how the printed colors match the picture colors perfectly.

If you need a friend, start with a Brother!
I used a HP LaserJet for a long time and then it fails on me. Constant connectivity issues expensive Media and then the light shine on my BROTHER. The printing is excellent connectivity is excellent. Haven’t compared the Media yet because it hasn’t run out.

A good replacement for my old laserjet printer
I needed a smaller color laser printer, and this one fit the bill. I was not hindered by the fact that it cannot scan as I have been using my phone to scan whatever I need and since I have my phone connected to my computer I can easily transfer the documents.
