Great printer
I am very pleased with this printer so far. It does everything I need without any frustrations so far. I have a Mac laptop and had no trouble with initial set up. It was easy. I can easily print from my iphone ipad or laptop. Scanning is easy and clear. I recommend this printer.

Brotther printer is ok shipping was delay Staples won't stop spamming my email. Since I purchased I have rec'd 10-20 emails three or four times a day. Never again!

Great printer

I actually wanted the MFC-L3780CDW and there are some key differences but I will give this machine a fair review: The print and scan qualities are phenomenal for a SOHO and it can print in duplex (both sides). A fantastic printer.
We got this to replace a 10-year old version of the same printer. They are workhorses. You can save money with third-party toner but not all brands are the same. For single-sided color printing it is blazingly fast. Double sided is maybe 1/3 the speed because it has to drag every page back into the printer to do the other side. We love it. I Hate This Printer
I purchased this printer because it had great reviews however I don't like anything about this printer. It is truly the worst printer that I have ever purchased. I wish that I could take it back and get one of my favorites like Canon Xerox or HP. I will never purchase another Brother Printer again. Good Printer---Until the Ink Runs Out
I was totally happy with this printer until the included trial size color ink ran out. As many others point out you cannot print even black and white if any of the three color ink cartridges run out. Only had a year and had to replace.
Quality and speed were great to begin with but the toner cartridges are way too expensive and I didn't get the number of pages they claim I should have. I have a need to print mass pages monthly and this cost way too much. And just after a year the print quality has greatly diminished.

Garbage! Doesn't print entire page
This was purchased for a business what a mistake It never printed the entire page. I changed the toner cartridges thinking that might be the issue. So Far so Good
We had our previous Brother laser for at least 10 years. I likely could’ve replaced some parts and kept it going but I figured it was worth moving to a new one. This one is fitting the bill just fine. A bit faster than the 9970 it’s replacing. Quality seems a smidge better as well. All in all pretty happy with it.

Must have all Colors to print black and white
If any of the color toner run out the printer doesn't allow you to print in black and white. Even changing your printer preferences to mono only works for a few pages and then it won't let you print. I have given brother 2 chances now with printers and have been disappointed both times.

I’m sorry to hear that you are having Printing in black and white when color toner cartridges are empty issues with the Brother MFCL3780CDW. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you. We can help with that.
Please be advised. If your Brother MFCL3780CDW cyan, magenta, or yellow toners run out, you can choose Mono in the printer driver to allow you to keep printing. You'll be able to keep printing until the black toner runs out. When the black toner runs out, you won't be able to print until you replace it.
