Works very well. No overheating
This charger works flawlessly with my HP Envy laptop. Neither the charger or the computer get hot during charging. Charging is rater quick. I am not happy with the weight of the charger. It weighs almost 2.5 pounds. That is close to the same weight of my laptop, making carrying both the laptop and charger heavy. Otherwise, I do recommend this product. It works well.

Time will tell
The adapter (the block) got very hot the first time I used it; seems to work okay now. The last time I needed to buy one of these, I also got it at Staples and it was twice as expensive as this one, so am glad for the price drop.
