I have owned 2 Brother MFC''s one for two locations. Both worked great for about 6 years. They started having connections issues. Bought a new J5855DW and have had non-stop connection issues. Now I cannot connect to my phone or computer. Have called multiple times and left on hold for more than an hour. I get important calls and end my call to Brother then call a...

No bottle tank printer -Great
Wife wanted a tank printer, I didn't want bottles. This was a great compromise. Tank printer no bottles. Fast printer and easily prints from mobile devices.

What kind of machine can 2-side copy but NOT scan?
As a printer or copier this thing is fantastic. Great value easy-to-load ink fast throughput with good print quality. It can auto-scan one-sided documents to a PDF quickly; but there's no option even manually that lets you scan both sides of a page or pages together in the same PDF. Where’d all the ink go?
Have concerns about ink usage. On Start up I inserted 4 standard ink cartridges (new). Had to run print head cleaner 3-4 times for very minor missing lines on cleaning printout. Known Problem with MFC-J6555DW
This is my 2nd Brother Printer. Bought this thinking it was as good or better than 1st. Not the case. Something broke inside the printer, so they sent a new one. Same noise happened again. If there is a known problem, please fix it and not just send a new one.

One annoying issue
The printer works well except that when multiple pages are printing the pages do not stay in order. the mechanism that shoots out the copies has some sort of glitch where some copies are placed on top of the previous one and some go underneath so when I pick up my copies they are not in order. Despite the noise, a pretty decent printer
We did quite a bit of research, and settled on Brother for the best value with the most features. We're counting on ink to last longer than with our recently retired Epson. At the momnet, the only downside is that it's just as noisy as other ink jet printers. I wish someone could manufacture an inkjet printer that is as quiet as a laserjet.
