Godsend!
Printers and I never get along, but my luck is changing. The Canon Maxify was easy to install and set itself up like a new "best friend." It's a great printer for the price and I expect I will not have to replace it in 18 months like my other printers from Hx and Exxxx. Relieved and pleased. Salesman was helpful. Yay Staples.

Very slow, not very “smart”
The ink will last a long time, for sure.
But the cons outweigh that benefit in my opinion.
It prints VERY slow. Full color is maybe one page per minute. Double sided only works on thin paper. You can’t even get it to work with brochure paper or photo paper without jamming.
It’s a total pain to print one side and then flip it and continue the print.

New Printer
So far, so good. Easy enough to set up. My previous Canon printer would automatically turn on when I sent a print job to it. And, then shut off. I don't believe this one does that. Also having issues trying to print from my phone. Again, the previous Canon printer was EASY.
It may just be me getting used to it. Haven't used it enough to give it a true review.

Great printer but hard to get ink!
I absolutely love this printer for what I purchased it for, mainly printing for homeschooling. It is not good for printing brochures and stuff. But it was very difficult to find Canon ink. This is extremely frustrating!

Good Printer but doesn't support Borderless photo
I bought this print to be able to print documents and photos without the hassle of ink cartages. setup today and got it up and running. discover this evening the i could print and photos without the ugly white border. spent hour trying to figure out why and discovered this canon print does support it. Whyt Canon would make this printer....

So far the printer has worked fine. It was fairly easy to set up. I'll have to get used to using the ink it uses. All of my others have come with cartridges.

Good printer for a good price~no cartridges!!
I replaced my Canon TS6420 w/ this GX1020. I absolutely hated the door panel feature on the TS model. If I was in the shop & wanted to print something out, I had to come in & make sure that door was up. The jury is still out on this printer but so far I love everything on it, almost.

I wanted the printer mostly to print sentiments on 3-3/4" x 9" cardstock that I buy at Michaels and then I glue the sentiment to the inside of greeting cards that I make. I've called Staples, Staples tech support and Canon Customer Service and no one is able to help me print on this size cardstock.

Horrible wireless communcation
I bought this printer a month ago and I still regret my decision. The only way it will print is to connect via USB. Wireless printing in non-functional. Followed the instructions twice; same result. Printer is on the wireless network. Laptop is on the wireless network. Canon software is enabled in firewall permissions. STILL NO WIRELESS COMMUNICATION! Save yourself...

So far, the printer is great! I did have a little trouble getting it hooked up wirelessly, but finally figured it out. This was a great printer for about two days. Then it stopped printing all together. I can't get it work. The directions from the error code say to take it to a repair facility...but doesn't provide a list of supposed repair facilities. I have been very pleased with my new Canon Mega Tank Maxify GX1020 printer. It was easy to set up and get connected to a new computer I purchased.
