Worth the Investment
I had been going through charging cords at the rate of one a month. I couldn't figure out what was wrong and why they wouldn't last: somehow the metal end inside the connector dislodged and became loose and wouldn't deliver a charge. The manager at Staples suggested I use the Apple charging cord. I'm an Android user and I've never purchased an Apple product. In this cas...

Heavy charging cable.
Worked for Apple laptop that draws 61 watts. Stiff if you just need it for phones or tablets.

The cord is wrapped in a cloth covering making it a sturdy yet flexible cord that should last a long time. Paired with the power plug charging is fast!
