good and bad
good printer, had trouble getting cash back offer, although was resovled.
The scanner will not scan to computer even though I have installed appropriate software, I have to scan it to usb stick.

Poor Print Quality
Print quality is poor. Faint lines running through document Repeatedly ran print nozzle cleaning and alignment. Printer uses more ink than previous Brother model J6935DW. Tried to contact Brother support waited an hour and half on hold waiting on agent. Chat bot no better, no reply when you clicked submit

Works Great!
Been working great the last few weeks. Great option if someone needs an 11 x 17 printer/scanner. Easy to use.

Works great once setup
As I found no specific mention of it in the quick start directions I had figured that the printer driver(s) was being installed behind the scenes. I got the WiFi connected easily per the instructions but kept getting “no internet connection” at that point. 1 Star Experience but I still recommend it with conditions.
I purchased this printer from Staples for large format printing and higher capacity cartridges.
The printer worked fine but I did not need it for a period of time, When I tried printing it needed multiple head
cleanings. That did not work plus the ink involved in cleaning totally messed up the insides of the printer.

Great Brother Wireless color inkjet.
No problem in connecting this wireless printer. The only problem I have is trying to fax without a having a landline phone jack.

I prefer Brother printers
I install and support a lot of different brand Printers and for me Brother has always been the best when it comes to productivity and rarely needs any glitchy network disconnects fixed.

Never works properly.
This unit isn't very useful as every single time I want to use it I have to run it through 3-4 cleaning cycles. The nozzles seem to dry out/clog every day. Very disappointing. I am sorry I ever bought this printer.

Terrible terrible terrible connection issues!
Don’t bother buying this nonsense unless you want to spend your life trying to connect it to the internet and phone! It’s so slow! And I’ve spent more of my life trying connect this thing to a perfect internet connection than anything else in life! Not impressed with MFC-J6940DW
This our 4th Brother printer and this model is not of the same quality or robustness. The things which have changed are: 1. Sensitive to head clogging we need to clean heads on a regular basis particularly after colour prints; 2. Great mostly but one big flaw for me
I chose this wide format printer over HP and the Epson after much research online. Reasons....prints faster 50 sheets in the feeder tray 11x17 in the rear tray (up to 100 sheets) & 11x17 paper in either of the cassettes. Will not print both sides inkject paper
An excellent printer except for one very unfortunate flaw. You cannot use double-sided inket paper as the duplex system does not work with his type of now common media. It seems that All Brother printers fail in this regard. A shame because apart form this they excellent machines

Works brilliantly
My old printer and scanner were several years old and very slow. This Brother machine is so fast in comparison at both kinds of job. I love being able to send a print command and it immediately jumps into action, sending out documents at real speed. Quality is great too.
